Default Don't like the work light on your tool?

Buy a headlamp, foo!

I see reviews of tools that complain about the included work light being
insufficient. So, just in case anybody here doesn't know... Modern
headlamps are amazing for the task. In fact, doesn't really matter which
task, they rock for almost everything (work, cleaning, whatever).

Mine is a Fenix HL55. It's the only one I have experience with, it's
amazing.

Always great to see someone think outside the box and invest in a product like a headlamp. It's only been in use for a few centuries. Then again, keeping up with new technologies isn't always easy.

This works well and is a lot cheaper, although I don't think it will

I've been using that one for a few years now without any problems. I
even dropped it which popped off the cover and batteries flew out. I put
it back together and still works great.

It also uses common and cheap AAA batteries unlike the Fenix HL55.

SWMBO and I went camping in Maine last August. We've been camping for years
but this was the first time we saw lots and lots of lights bobbing around
the campground from the headlamps that many of the other campers were wearing.

After a couple of days we realized that just about everyone that was wearing
headlamps were french speaking Canadians. I can only assume it's a common
practice up north.

We considered trying it, but all I could think of was getting blinded by
SWMBO's headlamp every time we looked at each other. Maybe I'm concerned
over nothing.

You nave to get used to not looking directly at other people. Once upon
a time I worked in a coal mine. You could always tell a newbie, because
he'd look right at you and his hard-hat light would shine in your eyes.

You just have to aim a little lower and only look below the neck. Out of
respect to her eyes, of course.

Did the skitters get bigger the further North you go.

Actually, the skeeters were just about non-existent, even though we were camping right next to a marsh. Even the campground operators informed us that "We can't do anything about the
insects." when I asked about skeeters when I made the reservations.

SWMBO and I researched (and made) some homemade insect repellent, but we never even took
it out. The skunks were bold though.

Now, if you want to talk about the moose-quitos I experienced while stationed in AK while in the
USCG, well, they were definitely flight plan worthy. You could confuse them with the C130's
