Default Fein vs Harbor Freight Blades

Harbor Freight sells a multi-purpose tool, according to the label made
by Chicago Electric they also carry an assortment of accessory blades
which fit their tool. I have an early model Fein multi purpose tool
which accepts Fein blades that have an 8 pointed star mount.
Naturally the HF's are priced quite a bit less than the Fein's.

Has anyone had any luck mounting the HF's on the early model Fein?
