O/T: Farmers and Politicians
Rumor has it this may have been down state Illonois but no
proof.grin Enjoy Lew ................................................. ................... A busload of politicians were driving down a country road when all of a sudden, the bus ran off the road and crashed into a tree in an old farmer's field. The old farmer, after seeing what had happened, went over to investigate. He then proceeded to dig a hole to bury the politicians. A few days later the local sheriff came out, saw the crashed bus, and asked the old farmer where all the politicians had gone. The old farmer said he had buried them. The sheriff asked the old farmer, "Were they all dead?" The old farmer replied, "Well, some of them said they weren't, but you know how them *******s lie." |

Chicago (upstate) is more apt to be corrupt than "downstate" Illinois..as the rest of the state is called. Tom G. |

It is the Metro-Chicago contribution to political ooze (Daley, Blago, Ryan, Obama ...) that gives the state a bad name. -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tim Daneliuk PGP Key: http://www.tundraware.com/PGP/ |

They just work in Springfield and only then when they can't get out of it. |

Now Peoria, Springfield, Bloomington/Normal and points south is another matter. No mention of where the politicians practiced, only where the met their demise. Lew Lew |

Our present governor and wife, refused to reside in the Mansion in Springfield which is mid state. They elected to remain in Chicago. Which is good he probably good as they would have sold all the furniture on Ebay. Mark |

Blago probably couldn't find Springfield on a map. The joke in the state is how little time he spent in the actual governor's mansion, or in Springfield. He spent most of his time in his Chicago office and his north side home. todd |
