Here are 2 photos of a friend;s laminated bent wood scooter. He cannot find
the plan he used to build this, but he thinks it was in

issue of Shopnotes about 10 years ago. I'm posting to see if anyone out
there recognizes this project and knows which issue it was in.

Isn't Shopnote basically stuff for the shop?
Whereas the sister magazine Woodsmith was more inclined to have plans for
the higher end type of projects?
Just a thougth. I'll do some searching for you.

Frankly that looks like a simple enough design that I'd just forge
ahead without a plan. I've built a lot more complicated stuff than
that with no more design help than that picture would give. Free
yourself from the idea that things have to be built to specifications
and just *make* it. Be an artist in wood rather than just a
technician.

I found lots of plans for scooters when I searched a week or so ago - just
no laminated ones...

also, my friend said it was about 10 years ago.

I did find that issue on ebay, so I'll get it for him, but I'm not
interested in building this project - I'm already booked up for this
woodworking season (winter).
