flat bottom forstner bits
saw flat bottom forstner bits advertised and first thing i thought of was all forstner bits are flat bottom but i wonder if that is true |

All also need that central spur, just cannot get away from it. but spur or not it is still flat bottom so i guess advertising flat bottom forstners is just an accoutrement to the marketing blurb there are some videos of making flat bottom holes with no center point using various techniques one guy just ground down a regular bit but that was not a large diameter bit i guess if the point is a problem just grind it off |
