These Ain't Your Typical Magic Wands
A new batch of neighborhood kids have discovered that I can make Magic
Wands thanks to some of the older neighborhood kids who have long outgrown their magic wands in the intervening five years. And with five years of experience at the lathe, this batch of wands are VERY different from the ones done on a little UniMat metal lathe. They also take a bit more time to make - but also provide opportunities to try something new - at least to me. The thing that's the same is seeing a kid's reaction when they see THEIR magic wand for the first time. THAT is still priceless. http://web.hypersurf.com/~charlie2/T...icWands09.html If you've got kids in the neighborhood, consider doing some Magic Wands. But be aware that there will always be more kids - who want a wand. |
