Default A Question

Every year the Washington Post has a contest in which they ask their
readers to take a normal word and then add, subtract, or change
one letter and then supply a definition for their new word.
For example:
Innoculatte (v) - To take coffee intraveinously when you are running late.

So I was wondering...
If you took some of the women turners on this group and put them
in a swimsuit, would you have Lathing Beauties?

Depends on the size and shape of the beads and coves.

Women on the group... le'see... wimin, wimin, wimin.... hmmmm.

Only kidding - I've seen pics of Ruth and she certainly qualifies as a
Lathing Beauty. Andy Wolfe used to post occasionally and she's not hard
on the eyes either.

When I finish some of my creations, I often wonder if I'm just a bowel
turner - and full *of* it.

Tips fer Turnin': Place a sign, easily seen as you switch on your lathe, warning you to remove any and all rings from your fingers. Called degloving, extended hardware can grab your ring and rip it off your finger. A pic for the strong of stomach: www.itim.nsw.gov.au/go/objectid/2A3AC703-1321-1C29-70B067DC88E16BFC/index.cfm

Besides, rings can easily mar the surface of a turning as you check for finished smoothness.

Most turners prefer 'em thin, with well-finished bottoms....
