Quilt rack spindles
Need to find 8 or 10 wooden spindles. 1 1/4" dia symetrical design,
length 22" to 24" w/ 5/8" min dia tenons both ends. I am building gifts and would rather buy than turn these, but can't find them on the web. The actual turned features are not critical, but they must be thick enough at the smallest dia to support a quilt. I am in the east central AL area. Will travel to get them if someone knows where. Thanks for any suggestions. Richard |

Router table or shaper set up for quarter rounds will make your basic "dowel," you can "turn" the ends on the router table or tablesaw thereafter. Cut the shoulders, peel to tenon size. Of course, with a lathe.... |
