Default Rotate Your Stock

No, this is not another "what is turning" thread, but a reminder to check
those out-of-the-way places you use as storage once in a while. On my way
into the root cellar - seed potatoes - I noticed a bowl sitting on the
cement outside the door. Cherry.

I re -trued the hole for the pin chuck, and when I put it on the lathe, I
brushed away some dirt in the recess. "9/8/87" I used to write a date on
them back then.

Turned to 11 x 6 with a fast taper to a heavy 2 1/2 base. Popcorn bowl.

It does have some well-developed color.

So, I'm assuming it had reached emc by now... ;-)

Yeah, I wish! It was in my first "turning for tuition" cycle. Eldest was
in college then. Two educations since, and never picked it up. O'l Blue
doesn't owe me a cent, considering what he's made. The difference in price
on the 12-16" stuff I've already roughed should pay the Nova.

At least that's what I tell Susan (Who) Was My Best Option....
