Default Need a New Tool

Well, I finally gave in to temptation and turned something large on the new
guy. Four and half inch thick chunk of soft maple which was the heart piece
between two bowl blanks, and had been lying in the snow all winter. I
really had the best of intentions to wait until my pin chuck arrived, but,
since it was going to be practice anyway, I decided to mount on the pin
jaws. Scribed a circle, cut it out, and then went to bore the 1" hole for
the jaws.

My drill press is a 15 1/2 inch.

I had to trim a quarter inch all around.
