Exclamation Potterton - should electrodes glow red hot?

Hi folks,

I have a potterton netaheat electronic. When it's active, the pilot light passing over the ignition electrodes causes them to glow red hot! Is this normal or should they be adjusted out of the way?

Thanks,
PhilipM
