Where can I find a cost effictive supply of 12V G4 10W lamps. I have just
bought a floor lamp that takes 8 of them !

CPC used to be a good cheap source, but they stopped doing them about
a year ago. Maplin is now the best source I know. ISTR they are under
a quid each, with a further discount for 10 or more.

No idea! I just placed an order for 10 of the GU10 Halogen bulbs, then saw
this OP post, and remembered that they also sold G4 bulbs too.

Since ASDA wants £4.99 each for a GU10, I rekoned that £12.00 for 10 wasn't
a bad proposition since I needed 4 at least. If they don't last long, I
still won't have wasted any money, since the ASDA ones popped off like
nobody's business! Anyway, at £6.00 for 10 for the G4's, what have you got
to lose/worry about?
