Default Carpet roll end: transporting in small car

I'm moving into a new house soon and will be looking to buy a new
carpet for one of the rooms.
I'll probably buy from one of the "sheds" (CarpetWorld etc.) but am
thinking of arranging delivery and fitting myself.

Is it possible to transport a piece of roll carpet, say 4m x 4m 50/50
wool twist for the sake of argument, in the back of a small
Fiesta-sized hatchback?

Would such a carpet roll fold over OK to fit in the back?
And how much would such a piece of carpet weigh? Is it a two-man job to
load and unload it?

Thanks
Bruce

If you are buying good quality Hessian backed carpet then you will need to
buy some rolls of underlay also - have it all delivered and fitted - they
will fit the grippers around the edges etc and have the right tools and
skill to stretch it into place and make a good job of it.
