Default Grouting problem

Is there some way to smooth grouting after it's dry? The guy who tiled our
bathroom did a real crap job of the grouting. It was squee-geed on, but not
finished and shaped with an indent tool. It's now dry. And he's been sacked.
Basically it's uneven and not really been 'indented'. The gap is 3mm
according to the spacer packet. If the tiles were not all white it would be
a disaster. Thanks for any advice.

Is it *very* dry? If it's been done fairly recently you could scrape it out
and start again - it doesn't set really hard for ages, IME.

I think I'd try giving it a good soaking and a going over with a decent
sponge first if it's been done very recently.

Hi,

Try a nylon scourer, if that's no good give it some welly with decent
steamer and nozzle, then try the scourer!

cheers,
Pete.

Just sand it with folded sandpaper. Grout is very brittle so abrades easily
