I have a Dell laptop and the battery is useless.
Not tried - but can I operate it without the battery? Or does in need it in situ even though it holds no charge? |

Inspiron N5010 The manual for the N5010 does not specify that the battery is required to be present. Why not give it a go? You can remove the battery by sliding a couple of latches. |

Keep an eye out for the battery swelling though. (If it happens it will be over time, not sudden.) |

Lonely Obnoxious Cantankerous Auto-contradicting Senile Ozzie Troll Alert!
On Wed, 3 Feb 2021 05:59:21 +1100, cantankerous trolling geezer Rodent
Speed, the auto-contradicting senile sociopath, blabbered, again: I have a Dell laptop and the battery is useless. Not tried - but can I operate it without the battery? Most laptops you can, some you can't. Or does in need it in situ even though it holds no charge? Some laptops do, some most don˘t. Someone answered that his question already long before you! What in hell makes you think, time and again, that anyone's answer will only be valid when YOU senile asshole confirm it? Eh, you sociopathic senile CRETIN? -- Norman Wells addressing trolling senile Rodent: "Ah, the voice of scum speaks." MID: |

If you think about it, it's likely at least some hot plug in a spare battery. If you could damage it by doing this I'd expect to see warnings. -- *Ah, I see the f**k-up fairy has visited us again Dave Plowman London SW To e-mail, change noise into sound. |
