I think that's just your late summer Jim.

We turned up at Ft William (on our motorbikes) ready for the next stay
on our camping / touring trip after the Peak / lake districts and met
a family who had cut their two week holiday short because 'it hadn't
stopped raining' for their first week. ;-(

We had some rain but luckily either only at night or when we were on
the move (so in waterproof gear). We went to Drumnadrochit, Dornoch,
J-o-G and back down into civilisation via Perth.

It's a LaNina year. It's ****ing down in Eastern Oz and Fiji
has been hit by a 180 mph cyclone.

Still not sure how this will affect the weather of Northern
Europe though as the winter progresses.
