Sure, then it would be a refrigerated truck with the fridge turned off, so it makes no sense to be inspecting all fridge trucks which are running with their fridge turned off. And by definition those wont have illegals in them because the heat sensing scanning would see illegals. Given their insulation it's unlikely the heat sensors would work. The few hundred watts from a few people wouldn't make much difference to the temperature of the whole thing, and there would be no hotspots. And most non refrigerated bulk loads ad done in containers now, not non container HGVs. Part of my commute is on the A14. There are an awful lot of HGVs carrying a container to or from Felixstowe. But not 39 corpses. Very unlikely to be dead when checked at Zeebrugge. I thought they came from Ireland? No, somewhere in continental europe likely eastern europe. Its not yet clear where the ended up in the refrigerated truck initially. It isnt even clear if the authorities have managed to identify any of the organisers so its not clear if they will even be able to get any of the perps to spell out the detail of when they were loaded into the truck and why they thought they wouldnt suffocate. Tho that may be obvious from the truck itself. and there would be no hotspots. Sure. And most non refrigerated bulk loads are done in containers now, not non container HGVs.
