Images of Bulgarian grenades of WW1 show stick grenades, on the German model. They were blast grenades, a modern version of which is the stun grenade. As they have a smaller danger radius, they were safer for assault troops to use than a fragmentation grenade, like the Mills Bomb. -- -- Colin Bignell |
