I don't. Especially since it would be a disaster if I got something in my eye - instant inability to see the road! It doesn't happen. You get (virtually) no wind in your face etc. Oddly, unless you have a 'baffle' to prevent it, you can get a draught on the back of your neck. I drove a soft top for 18 years and don't recall ever getting anything in my eye. It's far more of a problem if you wear hard contact lenses as I do. But you're not really much more likely to get something in your eye than just walking around. Yes, but when it blinds you, the consequences are more serious when driving. Don't you have a back-up eye? No. That's the problem. I just have the one. -- My posts are my copyright and if @diy_forums or Home Owners' Hub wish to copy them they can pay me £1 a message. I suppose if the fob was purely passive inductive that bit wouldn't be a problem then?.. -- Tony Sayer |

FWIW a friend has a Renault which has a flat key fob thats a bit bigger than a credit card it does open the car by radio frequency but to start the car it goes in a slot on the dashboard then a conventional starter button is used .. -- Tony Sayer |
