I tend to use the one in my address book by clicking on it. No
chance of a typo then. Relying on the browser recognising a link
might just get you to a false one you've used before.

Well, if you have visted a copycat site, then delete it from your
browser history PDQ!

If you do all the right things, these copycat sites are nothing to
worry about. Sadly, many don't do all the right things.

What are all the right things ?

Try reading the thread?

You seem to think from your address book is the correct place get such
things.

I do it the other way Roboform keeps track of the url currently being
used and allows you to click on the icon to supply the username and
password when the url matches what you used previously.

That way, even if you click on a link in an email or popup
and get to a fake site, the icon which fills the username
and password doesnt appear so you know its a fake site.

It does a lot more than just that, it automatically fills
in forms on screen when you tell it to so when you
start using a new supplier, it fills in all the address
details when registering if you tell it to do that.

Main problem with it is that it doesnt work as
well on the iphones and ipads because apple
wont let apps do that stuff on their devices
due to the sandboxing they have in iOS.
