Need some parliament type hinges to throw a door 20mm clearer so
it will fold back 180 degrees. Looking online the pricing seems extortionate for parliament hinges 15 quid a pair upwards?! What else can I search for ? I tried projection hinges but not much better. They're going on a shed door so they need to be pretty or highly engineered; zinc plate will do. TIA -- Jim K ----Android NewsGroup Reader---- http://usenet.sinaapp.com/ |

Hook and band hinges are commonly used to achieve 180deg opening. The hook sitting on the face of the wall adjacent to the door enables doors to be swung flat against the wall. Galvanised versions are quite common. Security can be achieved by setting one hook upside down and securing the hooks with coach bolts.

If I understand correctly won't that mean some hinge screws will likely hit the junction between existing frame/door & 10+mm wood? -- -- Jim K ----Android NewsGroup Reader---- http://usenet.sinaapp.com/ |

Tons of parliament hinges for peanuts, like US$1 each on alibaba. Must be someone who buys the minimum order of 100 and resells them. |
