Hook and band hinges are commonly used to achieve 180deg opening. The hook sitting on the face of the wall adjacent to the door enables doors to be swung flat against the wall. Galvanised versions are quite common. Security can be achieved by setting one hook upside down and securing the hooks with coach bolts.
