Insurance is only necessary after the fire, too...

Insurance is a con. Remember, insurance companies make a profit....

Only if you can afford to rebuild your house after the fire without
insurance.

But it's not likely to happen. Look at the odds. What percentage of
the value of your house do you pay to the insurance company? Now on
average they make a profit, so the chances of actually needing a full
payout must be virtually nothing.

Do you actually OWN a home? Do you have the money to replace it? If it
burns down, will you ever be able to own one again?

Why are you arguing with a troll?

Why don't you use your killfile?

But it will probably never happen. For the same reason I never buy a lottery ticket, I understand odds.

Yes he does.

Very unlikely to need replacing. Much more
likely to just need repairing at most.

If it burns down,

Mine can't, its almost entirely concrete, glass, steel, quarry tiles etc.

will you ever be able to own one again?

Yep, I could just pay for the replacement or literally buy another.

Also gambling, where the only way to win is to lose.

Agreed, which is why I do neither (including the lottery).
