That is why the UK wants an EU army so we don't have to rely on
NATO for everything. The brexiteers of course want us to spend
more of our money on defence rather than getting the rest of the
EU to spend more.

If we were in the EU we would be paying an even bigger share of the
defence costs and substantially more in real terms if the US was no
longer involved.
