don't look at the big picture, you don't even know what the
big picture is, and you don't /want/ to know! All you care
about is that you don't have to get sick any more!

The one and only time I had a flue jab, I reacted badly to it. And there
was no epidemic that year. ;-)

I've never had flu, and I don't see why I should catch it in the near
future. So I refused the offer I received recently. I can see that it
might be a good idea for healthcare professionals, as they are more
likely to be exposed to it, and more needed to care for people with
(serious) flu. (I hope the statisticians have worked this out.)

Most people's immunity level does drop with age.

Flu can kill you, particularly if you are older. The common cold cant.
