Yebut, you can't beat a hl with chain for a terrific flush
We have a cc with a flap-valve (supposedly crap), pretty decent flush.

Never had any problems with them... add some silicone grease or sealant
to the faces before assembly, and then make sure the bolts that fix the
cistern to the pan are well tightened (its well worth buying the special
tool IME).

It has more force than with low level.

With high level flush you can probably make most pans clear reliably.
With low level the pan design seems more critical - some are very much
better than others.

As is the connection to the pipe. I have 110mm Pan Connectors. Most seem
to be more like 80mm with big fins.

Don't know - never had one fail.

The only time they need replacing IME is when you need to separate a pan
and cistern that has already been installed for some time - then the
existing one will be shaped to fit the gap exactly and quite possibly
bonded to one or more of the surfaces.
