Not really as water tends not to climb over 3 inches of concrete to get into
the gulley.

10+ years ago, I was in a building trades FE college, and they were
teaching steel pipework on a plumbing course. For the practical,
there was a row of perhaps 10 small rooms built in the warehouse, all
with open fronts for easy access. The task was obviously to plumb in
two radiators using steel pipework. As you stood and looked down all
the rooms through the open fronts, you could see every one had the
radiators installed with a different degree of wonkyness. They did
mostly have the pipe runs horizontal and vertical, but hadn't got
the vertical radiator tails the correct lengths. I couldn't help
laughing. The students were not there at the time.
