Default Makita bhr 202 gearbox replacement

I have a makita SDS BHR 202 and when i was replacing the armature i pulled the gearbox out. How do i get the gearbox nack in the casing? It seems to be getting stuck in the gear changer on the side but there must be a trick to get it back in and i just cant see how. Can some one help?
