Oh, ffs...! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christ...of_Scandinavia -- New Socialism consists essentially in being seen to have your heart in the right place whilst your head is in the clouds and your hand is in someone else's pocket. Thought you might like to add this one to your list. "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy. Like hell they were at the time they first did that. The Christianisation of Scandinavia happened between the 8th and 12th centuries, But not of the VIKINGS, let alone those who had colonised Greenland who were the ones who had also investigated America. the purported 'discovery' of America in the 10th. Nothing purported about it; I stand by my statement. You can stand anywhere you like, you are just plain wrong. |

Some follow an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. But that makes for an aggressive, toothless and blind society. And one ill adapted to scale well and do science and create technology. Christianity created the world that allowed science and technology to flourish. That's simply not true. Many civilisation were far advanced of the Christian world. It's only in the past 2 or 3 centuries science has moved forward, and this in spite of 2,000 years of Christianity. The peak of UK Christianity was the dark ages. Drivel. Christians went out and explored the world. Did a Chinese junk ever sail up the medieval Thames? we don;t know but the vikings did. but they did invent gunpowder and paper, printing, and the compass. |

The London buses
In article , says...
Is there anyone in the London area prepared to do anything about this outrageous slogan that will soon appear on the buses? I can think of lots of things that could be done. Bill Perhaps you'd prefer this version, Bill? https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24301298/no-cod.jpg Or why not create your own? http://ruletheweb.co.uk/b3ta/bus/ -- Terry --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus |
