Sink cold supply is corrugated copper flexible pipe, nothing else,
hot supply has a length of straight 15mm copper then corrugated,
the straight would take a tee...

Or replumb cold tap with new tap connector and do proper?

I always supply dishwasher from the hot supply. It works for me.

If you fill with hot water the cleaning performance on proteins such
as egg yolks diminishes. However, most dishwashers don't use much
water and unless the hot tap has been used just before the dishwasher
is put on not much very hot water gets into it so not a lot of
difference between cold fill and "hot" fill.
