I have a problem with the 9450 fitted, we have just moved into our new property. The alarm is fine and works, however I want to change some light fittings in the house and when I trip the fuse for the lights the alarm goes off. I enter the code to stop it but can't seem to stop the whole system.

What can I do to stop the alarm when the electrics is tripped ?

Replace the battery in the bell box (and maybe the one in the panel too?)

Having just had a power-cut here, the usual cacophony of alarms with
dead batteries has just stopped!

It will be the one in the panel that has gone wrong. If the alarm rings
out on a power cut then the independent one in the bell box must still
be OK. It is ringing because it doesn't see signals from its controller.

There will be an anti tamper on the main box too so you need to know
what order to take it apart and the right engineers code.

(at least that is how it works on mine)

Replace the standby battery which should power the system whem the power
fails. Possibly like this?
