Because they have something called "heavy industry", things called
"factories", thousands of skilled workers, and making military vehicles
is a strong tradition they won't let go of?

Oh. And they have the whole of the USSR to take back.

Most of those are actually in the Ukraine.

Oh. And they have the whole of the USSR to take back.

They wont be taking it back and don’t need main battle
tanks to do that even if they did want to do that.
