Default Combi boiler and external vent dripping

I have downloaded a PDF on the boiler and it looks like I may well be
fotunate in that the vessel is accessible by just removing the main cover.


See attached pic, I have preseed the centre of the valve, air hisses out
but no water, Do I now just top up with air at the indicated point?
