Combi-Boiler in a bedroom?
If this is a possible location forced by planning regulations on a
listed building is it likely to cause "sound pollution" problems for anyone sleeping in the same room (even if behind cupboard doors?) or isn't it really anything to be concerned about? Cheers Pete@ -- http://www.commercial-gym-equipment.co.uk Toughest Commercial Gym Equipment Made in England. |

Never been a problem for me. Combi (W-B 24i) in a wardrobe with slated doors. 1. it is not noisy (but remember I am in C. London so it has to compete with traffic etc) 2. It has to be very cold to keep the heating on overnight so in practice not likely to notice. http://www.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/30385256 -- djc |

That wouldn't be a problem for us as it's all radiators in the new install. http://www.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/30385256 :¬) I see what you mean. Like the radiator in bathroom. |

Combi-Boiler in a bedroom?
Well I can hear my neighbours through the wall from its downstairs mounting
in my bedroom, more of a deep rumble and some gurgling and whirring noises from time to time. I suppose one would get used to it. Probably depends on how its mounted to the wall what sort of wall it is and whether the cupboard can be soundproofed sufficiently, and of course not all boilers are going to be the same sound wise. You might also do some checks on noise level between makes. My Viessmann is pretty quiet, compared to its predecessor. There may well be others which are better. -- *Middle age is when it takes longer to rest than to get tired. Dave Plowman London SW To e-mail, change noise into sound. |

Indeed, my previous Ideal Mexico made quite a racket kettling, sloshing, clunking etc, even though it had no fanned flue or internal pump. The Vaillant system boiler that replaces is is far quieter. -- Cheers, John. /================================================== ===============\ | Internode Ltd - http://www.internode.co.uk | |-----------------------------------------------------------------| | John Rumm - john(at)internode(dot)co(dot)uk | \================================================= ================/ |
