Default Which seal/adaptor for this 32mm connection?

I have just purchased one of these to plumb my basin into the 110mm waste (the 110mm waste passes behind the basin pedestal above the floor):

http://www.cityplumbing.co.uk/getPro...oductId=818067

The 32mm hole has no seal, and the 32mm waste pipe is loose in the hole.

Do they make seals for this type of connection? I've searched the web and can't find anything.

Thanks!

You need a rubber insert, e.g.

I've used those before. The hole for the product I posted above is only just a bit larger than 32mm pipe. In fact, it's ~37mm inside diameter.

If the rubber adaptor does not fit then try the solvent weld
adaptor.

Of course that is your pipe is solvent weld and not push fit.

Get these from any plumbing shop/ merchant.

I would have thought the seal would come with it.
Some of them glue in with solvent weld stuff too.
Some have a reducing bush for multiple pipe sizes.

If you're stuck, use some silicon, it will be OK if the outlet is on
the top of the pipe.

That looks like it might be solvent weld but the *matching* pipe wouldn't
be a loose fit it would be snug. Do you have solvent weld or push fit
pipe? The actual outside diameters of the same nominal size pipe
varies...

Yep solvent weld, see below:

Hi all,

Been reading posts for long time but first time posting so hope I am doing it correctly.

If the OP has not yet solved the connection problem it is very easy, go back to City Plumbing and ask them for a "32mm BOSS SOCKET ADAPTOR" this is solvent welded into the boss socket and then the pipe is solvent welded to the adaptor or you can get ring seal ones where the pipe is pushed into the adaptor.

Its done this way to reduce the number of large items that need to be stocked. Just think 3 sizes of waste pipe, s/w & r/s so the supplier would have to stock 6 different boss socket pipes, or as it is done 1 boss socket pipe and 6 adaptors, less space and less cost.

Endfeed Elbow.
