Diamond Sharpening Stone
There are plenty to choose from, wide range of prices, suppliers etc.
After personal recommendations for good quality products, any to avoid. Looking for medium and fine, wide enough for plane blades. Cheers |

Looking for medium and fine, wide enough for plane blades. The Aldi one that was offered a few weeks ago works fine, four grades of diamond grit easily wide enough for a plane blade. Cost about £6. May be a long wait until they do another. This is, as far as I can tell, identical: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310373204339 |

I don't think I'll be buying one |

The real deal is solid metal or ceramic with the grit well-bonded. Looking for medium and fine, wide enough for plane blades. Costs about £40 + for 3 or £18 ea. last I remember. MachineMart used to do them, but I managed to miss their sell-out. Cheers |
