Default Polyurethane or Danish oil for front door?

Which of these is the best finish for an old wooden front door,
after light sanding?

Or maybe teak oil?
(Is there any real difference between teak oil and Danish oil?)

What wood is the door made of. Varnish doesn't work well with oak for
example. Danish oil has driers in it so will be better than teak oil.

3rd option - some modern microporous external finish?

I think it is probably some kind of pine.
It is the original door, 160 years old,
and is very large and heavy (90x42x2.5in).

A generalisation but a valid one. Paint is effective because it is
totally opaque and blocks the UV from getting to the substrate.
Everything else which shows the wood, and hence is translucent to
light and UV, will not survive as long as paint and in deteriorating
will look tatty.

Anyway, something like:

http://www.decoratingdirect.co.uk/viewprod/s/SADE/

I've not used that one, but I've used similar Sadolin products in the long
gone past and been very impressed.
