Get ready for this. (RHI)
Next year there is to be a Renewable Heat Incentive for domestic
buildings. As far as I can see it will cover solar thermal panels (for hot water) and ground/air source heat pumps. It can be connected to existing heating systems. Ground source works better but is much more expensive As heat is difficult to measure, an assessment is to be made for the money they give you to heat your home. Also a small grant is made available towards the capital cost. Again, as with the FIT, tax free and it lasts for twenty years. So you want to be thinking now about going for this one when it comes out.
