A logo is visible on the right of the lid :

I need to find a replacement. The markings on the top read NA38

Thanks in advance.

Easiest way is going to be as a spare part for the machine it
comes out of. Even if you find the manufacturer, you may well
find it's a custom item supplied only to the W/M manufacturer
in batches of 10,000.

What did the gauge? drum spinning off-axis?

Firstline LF1200 A.7. House brand of Carrefour, the local Tesco.

Probably, but there's a 10-day wait. Not being able to find even
basic information, like the temperature or whether its NC or NO,
bugs me.

It's a front loader. The lid of the klixon is in the same plane
as the back wall of the tub. One of the legs of the spider got
bent backwards by about 5 mm so, at that point, the drum gets
pretty close to the back wall of the tub. And since the klixon
protrudes a little bit...

OK. Check that the bearing isn't worn too, making the drum droop.
You can do this by seeing if you can lift the front of the inner
drum relative to the outer drum. That's the normal cause of this
sort of failure.

Does it still function electrically? May be repairable if it does,
fitting a blank flat plate and iron wiring the thermal to it.

Another approach is to determine what exactly it does, then you know
what can be used in its place. Is it detecting wash temp? Or some sort
of overheat condition? Is there more than one, or just that one?

That's just a certification mark, not a manufacturer.

I believe the Firstline Carrefour washers are made by Haier, a chinese
white goods company.
