I thought that it was not a good idea to use a dichroic lamp in a fitting which did not allow the heat to be dissipated at the rear. Chris I thought GU10 reflected most of the heat out the front, where as GX10 did not, so using GU10 in these fitting is OK, but GX10 is not. ....but I may be misunderstanding! -- Toby... Thats the one, GX10 has chamfered corners to try and prevent mislamping, still possible though Also now get alumised as opposed to dichroic LV MR16s that are suitable for closed back downlighters Cheers Adam ...but I may be misunderstanding! -- Toby... I know what they are for, I do not doubt you, my reply was to Vortex 7:-) just looking for some recommendations if anyone has used any. I have used very few fire hoods. I always fit fire-rated lights and not firehoods where fire rating is needed. Cheaper and faster IMHO. No help to you I know, as you already have the lights installed. -- Adam |
