You'd be better off at uk.d-i-y - I've cross posted this. People there
will be able to help.

Do not accept any advice to use an angle grinder as part of the
construction process.

And do not under _any_ circumstances ask for help at uk.rec.sheds - it's
not that kind of group...

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember Andy Champ
saying something like:

Andy Champ coughed up some electrons that declared:

What if it's a steel framed shed?

?

Unless "sheds" is a fetish I've not heard of... "Shedding behind the sheds".
The mind boggles....

Just watching 'Shedheads' on TV & realised that one of the alleged
'chippies' also appears on DIY SOS - except on there he is described as a
plumber...

Blimey. The cult of uncelebrity, eh?

Many years ago I predicted usenet would fragment until we had
uk.local.lincolnshire.spalding.co-op.baconcounter . I was wrong, it is
happening on TV instead.

He also appears/hosts on '101 things you don't need a builder for'.
There is also a chap on that who gives an initial 'professional' quote
for the job before said host takes you down the D.I.Y. path he appears
on DIY SOS as the chippie come dogsbody (the meant to be humorous one
with Laurie Turner's band).

Actually MY group uk.rec.sheds is a very helpful, informative group.

I don't know why so many people feel the need to spread so many lies
about us.

Never forget that everything you see on TV is a lie.

What, even The Sky at Night?

Patrick Moore was a good man.

I'm surprised they let him on TV. An eccentric, genuine and dominant
personality.

Just the sort of person that can run rings around anyone that even
thinks twice about causing "trouble".

Yes. All those supernovae and things they go on about happened ages ago.

Patrick Moore was a good man.

Still is.

He is (he's 86) , his trouser belt is almost up to his chin now.

I met him when I was 11 and he inadvertenly stole my biro. He did give
it back though when he realised he had it.

usually was.

That's true - if it's what you're looking for. But it isn't a place to
discuss sheds, but a place to discuss things you might discuss in a shed.

uk.d-i-y is mad enough!

My last GF's present chap is on the British Atronomical Council; my GF and
he were at a meeting (or summat) and PM arrived and needed a wheelchair. As
there wasn't one easily available he used my ex's - how the hell he fitted
in to it I don't know (I've pushed her in that chair and it didn't seem
that big!)

Hey - I'm famous! PM used my ex-GF's wheelchair - Celebrity Big Brother
here I come!
