Default Liff limefigher leak

After noticing a wet bathroom floor it appears to be coming from the "Liff
Limefighter" under the sink area
There is no obvious leak from either end so maybe theres a small hole in the
cartridge itself?
Are they easy to buy from plumbers merchants still, as it was there when I
moved in 15 years ago!

It is a "Magnetic scale inhibitor" which means it has no measurable
affect upon the water. You can get replacements at about £50 (eg
http://tinyurl.com/3x6kpp ) or you can simply use a short length of
copper pipe to replace it without noticing any difference.

A short section of pipe should fix that nicely ;-)
