Default Stainless 13A socketry etc

Hi, all.

As part of ongoing refurbishment in the kitchen, I need to source 'modern'
stainless steel socketry etc, to SWMBO standards.

Where's the best place for this kind of stuff?

CPC/Farnell and RS are obvious options.
Anywhere elese I ought to look?

The reason I ask is because if I show her 2 websites full of perfectly
acceptable options, there will be a screwed up face and questions,
questions. "Can't you get one that has the switches that look like that
one, but with the curvy edges of that other one etc etc etc...". My
patience for this kind of thing is very limited!

If anyone knows of any other websites that specialises in this kind of
thing, it would be a great help, thanks.

Otherwise, it's something from CPC / RS.

Ron

They're not really that obvious being electronic suppliers rather than
electrical. And I don't know of any one place that stocks all the ranges -
for example some sheds have their own brand. A trawl round all the
electrical wholesaler sites should give most options. Here's range I like.

Screwfix also do them - ISTR my most recent order came with a flyer
plugging posh electric sockets on special offer, so that might be worth
a look.

Just done a kitchen in which black features so got these from Screwfix with
the black inserts, pleased with them.

Beware, they don't do an FCU with a front flex outlet (I drilled a hole, not
good from a flex wear persepective but it's high up to isolate a fan so flex
doesn't ever move).

I used these ones
http://www.screwfix.com/cats/A431901...lex-Flat-Plate

I liked them because they were matt, not shiny, and they are nearly flush to
the wall.

However, presumably because they don't have the extra 10mm-ish sticking out
the front, these require slightly deeper than usual backboxes. If you like
these you might be best off buying one to try for a fit and send it back if
it doesn't.
