First 'problem' was the invoice they sent me itemised a camera as the purchased item. *I corrected them by telephone but did not receive a revised invoice. *Cornwall Electricals, or their contractor (TransX) charged my credit card immediately ( sharp practice). A week plus a day ( I think) I visited Cornwall Electricals web site and noted that 'Due to volume of orders, goods will dispatched two, weeks after order' (or words to that effect). *I tried to call Cornwall Electricals but they were not answering. *I emailed with a question about when I was to expect delivery and received a reply saying they were having 'problems' with their credit card processor and I would be receiving a refund within 72 hours. I could pay them with cash to receive the items ordered! Alarm bells began to ring. To date I have received no refund and they claim the problem lies with their contractor Transx and not them! *Cornwall Electricals don't seem to understand the basics that they as the 'prime' have total responsibility for the transaction including any default by their contractors. Just be warned, do not give your business to these people. *They may not be dishonest but my experience suggests they are to be avoided. *I suppose it is the old adage when a deal seems to good to be true it usually is! Caveat empor I HAVE REFUNDED EVERYONE ON MYSIDE , IF I COULD MAKE THE REFUNDS GO QUICKER I WOULD THE MONEY IS SAT IN CYPERSPACE AS THEY SAY , IF YOU VISIT WWW.TRANSX.CO.UK YOU CAN TALK TO THEM LIVE AND CHECK YOUR REFUND IS ON THE WAY BACK REGARDS CORNWALL ELECTRICALS LTD- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - what about the BACS payments? |

On the **** estate where is the spare bedroom of the semi he is trading from, a couple of weeks might seem like a life time! Look down on his premises from Google Earth IF ANYONE HAS SOME COMMENTS PLEASE FEEL FREE AND COME AND TELL ME FACE TO FACE, BUT OH NO YOU ALL RATHER SIT BEHIND A COMPUTER SCREEN AND TALK ABOUT THINGS YOU DONT EVEN KNOW ABOUT, WOW ANYWAY I HAVE A BUSINESS TO RUN MAYBE ONE DAY YOULL ALL DO SOMETHING USEFULL AND DO WHAT I DID AND BETTER MY LIFE, NOT SIT AROUND LEAVING COMMENTS , YOU CAN ALL SAY WHAT YOU WANT , THE PEOPLE WHO BUY ARE THE PEOPLE I WORRY ABOUT- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - I'll tell u face to face, wheres my money as requested to u to pay by BACS? |

I was mentioned in the thread quite early on and thought it relevant to update and close the thread. I'm Mr Barnes the owner of the website Nicholasparc.co.uk and what I wrote about Parc Mellon still stands today, albeit a far better place now that it ever was. But my actual reason for posting is to inform you all that Cornwall Electrical was indeed trading from a flat and has been closed down many years ago. Scott continued to defraud customers and was later charged and prosecuted for fraud by Ebay. He was later charged and prosecuted for stealing £700 from a church and I believe other offenses were taken in to account. Undeterred by all of this he now operates a carpet cleaning business. -- |
