The NATO forces' invasion of Afghanistan and its unfolded
failure against the Taliban has revealed to every citizen of the
world. When i was detained by Taliban in Nov.2006 i saw so many things
there. I realized one thing there that every foreigner who comes in
Afghanistan as invader is considered by Afghan people as their enemy
and must be fought with courage. Similarly USA and British forces are
struggling hard to eliminate those elements which hinder them to
control Afghanistan completely and they also face hurdles like when
the British forces attacked Musa Qala and were made hostages by the
Taliban which compelled them to enter into an agreement with Taliban
leaving Musa Qala under the rule of the elders of the
area.French,Norway,canada and Italian forces also face the same
problems here, nevertheless, they want reforms and construction of
Afghanistan. And the dilemma remains the same when the US and British
forces do not allow the media to provide the world with fair and
impartial coverage of Afghanistan and its people.
The Norwegian forces are combating Taliban mostly in Faryab province
north of Afghanistan where the majority of people are Persian
speaking.Pushtuns make only 30% of the population but still Norwegian
forces are under attacks from Taliban side. These (Taliban) are
planning their attacks on Norwegian and other NATO members from
Kandahar, Helmand, Farah, Herat, Badghis and to Faryab provinces of
Afghanistan.

The reasons for the failure of the US and NATO
forces is the weak government in Afghanistan which does not entertain
the will of the majority of the people in Afghanistan. Every bill
passed by the parliament in Afghanistan is not liked by the majority
of the people. Similarly, the execution of a law is also prone to non
implementation. The judicial wing in Afghanistan is also not just and
there exist an element of likes and dislikes which have made the
people of Afghanistan not to believe in the present judicial system.
The executive body of Government as also incapable of bringing peace
and harmony and there has developed the culture of corruption like
bribery, selling of Government assets etc. their rude behavior and
abusive language has made the people to abhor them. They also have
links with drug smugglers.
The policies and projects concerning the reforms in Afghanistan are
also devoid of pragmatic implementation. The US and the NATO forces,
if they wish to workout properly for them, should be assigned to those
people who enjoy the support of the majority. Their investment most be
in the fields of health (particularly women health care which concerns
the future of Afghanistan because 10 children out of 100 don’t take
the breath of life), education, social awareness. All the projects
must be in such manner from which every individual take the maximum
benefits.
If the foreign countries like USA and NATO forces wish to
bring a durable peace and harmony in Afghanistan and in the region
they must borrow the services of international independent media and
the journalists. As foreign journalists are not safe in Afghanistan
therefore, International media should hire the services of the
regional pushtun and Persian journalists but for this only the
services of Pakistani pushtoon journalists can be hired because only
these people are well educated and aware of Afghan political and
social affairs and resembles Afghani people. The pushtoon on both
sides of Pakistan and Afghanistan border have the same originity.
Most of the intellectuals of Afghanistan
are living their lives in the European and other countries of the
world because of the continue warfare for many decades in Afghanistan.
Almost 4 million pushtoon people of Afghanistan are leading their
lives in Pakistan.
