Plastering on plaster - preparation
I've a plasterboard wall with several layers of plaster (I'm
practising!) If I want to plaster yet another skim coat over the top, do I need to do any prep? Water-down the existing wall? PVA it first? Or can I just plaster direct onto the previous (dried) skim layer? |

But I'll have the same question soon anyway where there's an existing 'real' wall that needs re-skimming. Then plaster directly on top - it makes it easier to remove it for th4e next try The one thing to remember is to to make sure that the coat underneath is well wet so that you don't suck all the moisture out of the skim coat before you have finished -- geoff |
