Default Fitting a bath in a Ford Fiesta

Will a standard 1700mm x 700mm bath fit in a small hatchback (Fiesta).
Length is OK. I have had 1700mm timbers in the past.

Otherwise, any plumbing suppliers in N.England who can deliver before
11 AM weekday or at weekend?
Thanks

Bruce

You might have problems getting long enough flexible tap tails to
drive any distance and use it G

Some hire firms will hire a van by the hour

Man and van businesses will often do small local deliveries

You could heat the water with the exhaust heat. Seriously, dont you
think putting it on the roof would be more practical?

Not if it fits in the car for a 1 mile journey. And I don't have a
roof rack, anyway.
Anyone tried this?

Possibly, but there won't be much headroom for a shower :-)

I would think that most merchants could deliver before 11 am if you tell
them you want an early delivery.

Owain

Do places like Plumb Center deliver at a specified time?
Or can you recommend any nationwide companies or web sites to use?

Thanks

Is this on a building notice, or a full plans application?

A tape measure would be even cheaper.

Any plumber's merchant will deliver before 11am given a couple of days
notice. Most do saturday morning deliveries. If you get a B+Q trade
card, they'll do the same.

I had an 1800 x 800 bath in a VW polo, so a 1700 x 700 might fit in a
fiesta. Had to take the front seat out of the car to do it though, so
delivery might be easier.

Recommendations would be easier with a more precise location.

Depending on where in the country he is, that may actually be a
plausible solution!

Plumb Centre as you yourself suggested or Screwfix?

I suppose it rather depends whether they have the bath you want in stock

face it sooner or later you will need to pick up the phone and actually talk
to some one

Putting the Fiesta in the bath is more practical. I managed get a bath with
the legs on to fit in a Vauxhall Cavalier and shut the hatch. A tight
squeeze but it fitted.

No need for a roofrack, just sit it on something to stop it scratching
the roof and tie securely in all directions with the doors open. Close
doors on the ropes.

We're in W Yorks and tend to use James Hargreaves - might be a branch
near you. They'll schedule a delivery to suit. Make sure you negotiate
a decent price - they sometimes start off a bit high!
