Hi
Does anyone know where to buy those door mounted mini searchlights you see on 4x4's? Tried Google to no avail, but I don't know how to describe them? -- Dave The Medway Handyman www.medwayhandyman.co.uk 01634 717930 07850 597257 |

I remember reading somewhere that *moveable* lights such as this on a vehicle are not legal. At least, I THINK I remember reading this. Terry W |

Adam Aglionby wrote: http://tinyurl.com/yqm8rs Ridiculous price. I'd get a headlight from a scrap yard and find some sort of a tin or saucepan to hold it in, with duct tape and a couple of yards of wire bodged onto a lighter plug. Hmmm... come to think of it I wouldn't mind one of them and I could use it at work with a second hand car battery from the same place. I wonder how much those lorry headlights cost. I could even use it to toast my sarnies. |

Perhaps looking for searchlights for lamping might be more successful. AIUI this is the term for transfixing - rabbits usually, I think - by a very powerful searchlight before shooting them. Usually seen in the form of a roof mounted searchlight with a handle descending into the cab of an open backed pickup that sports gun racks, Confederate bumper stickers etc or the like ;-) Alternatively, a couple of small spotlights at the ends of a single roof bar might work?
