Default basic washing machine installation question

hello and sorry for the basic questions

i've just had a new washing machine delivered to a place i've just moved into, the installation was part of the price, however the guy said he was not allowed to fit the washing machine in because there was an electrical socket directly behind where the washing machine was located.

does this mean i need to (get someone to) move the power sockets to somewhere else?

thanks for any advice

No he's talking ********. The only thing about having the socket behind
the machine is, you cant get to it in an emergency because you have pull
the washing machine out. Most new builds have the socket fed from a
switched FCU above the worktops so that it can be isolated and switched
from above. You could get someone to do this if you really want.
