Hi All
A question on behalf of my inlaws on the north side of the border. The house is a semi detached. The neighbours in question are the attached neighbours. My inlaws have a one story extention on the back of their house. The neighbours have added a one story conservetory to their property as part of the conservetory they have built a block wall alongside my inlaws current wall with approx 4inch gap between the two. The gap has no roofing over it. My inlaws need to get the weather boards attended to but can't find anyone who will do the work because of the lack of space to work in. So...... Have the neighbours built illegally because the wall is so close to an existing structure? How close can you build to an existing structure? Many thanks Phil |

I've never understood how people could imagine that it's OK for them to build right up to the boundary, and then start moaning when their neighbour does the same. |
